What Qualifies as an Emergency
Any of these symptoms mean stop charging and call us immediately. Continued use could cause a fire or electrocution.
Burnt plug or outlet
Melted NEMA 14-50, burn marks on receptacle, plastic smell.
Repeated breaker trips
Breaker trips within seconds of plugging in, or trips on every charge.
Smoke or sparks
Any visible smoke, sparks, or arcing from charger or panel.
GFCI keeps tripping
Ground fault lockout preventing charging or affecting other outlets.
No power to charger
Charger completely unresponsive, no LEDs, no app connection.
Panel hot to the touch
Main service panel warm, buzzing, or making crackling sounds.
What to Do Before We Arrive
Shut off the breaker feeding the EV charger at the main panel.
If you smell smoke, shut off the main breaker to the entire house.
Unplug the vehicle from the charger (only if safe to touch).
Keep people and pets away from the affected panel or charger.
Take a photo of any visible damage for the technician.
Do not attempt to reset the breaker or re-energize the circuit.
