Remote diagnosis

We often resolve issues remotely via video or photo. For charger issues we help you work with the manufacturer.

3

On-site repair

If workmanship-related, we dispatch a technician at no cost. Typical response: 48 hours for non-emergency.

4

Permanent fix

We don't leave until it's working. All warranty repairs carry the same 5-year guarantee going forward.

Workmanship vs Product vs Labor — What Each Term Actually Means

Three warranty terms get used interchangeably by Henderson EV installers, and they cover very different things. Knowing the difference protects you from a surprise bill when something fails three years from now.

Workmanship warranty

Covers the physical work the electrician performed — terminations, conduit routing, breaker installation, mounting. If a lug loosens or a wire shorts because of how it was installed, workmanship warranty pays. Our workmanship warranty is 5 years and is the warranty most relevant to fire-risk failures.

Product warranty

Covers the charger unit itself — Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, etc. Issued by the manufacturer, not the installer. If the unit's relay fails or the display goes dark, the manufacturer ships you a replacement under their product warranty (lengths vary by brand — see table above).

Labor warranty

Covers the labor cost to swap a defective unit. Manufacturers ship you a new charger under product warranty but rarely cover the $145–$285 labor to physically uninstall the broken one and install the new one. Our labor warranty covers that swap-out cost for the first 2 years.

Our 5-Year Workmanship Warranty — Plain Language

When you have Henderson EV Charger Pros install an EV charger at your Henderson address, the work we perform is warranted for 5 years from the date the City of Henderson final inspection is signed off. The warranty is non-transferable but stays with the property for the original homeowner — if you sell, the next owner is welcome to call us under a paid service agreement, but the free warranty period belongs to you.

Specifically, our workmanship warranty covers every electrical connection we made: the breaker, panel termination, conduit run, receptacle or hardwired junction, EVSE mounting hardware, and grounding. If any one of those connections fails in a way that is traceable to how it was installed — not from external damage, tampering, surge events, or third-party modification — we will return to your property and correct the issue at no cost, including parts and labor.

The most common workmanship failure mode is a loose lug at the breaker or receptacle, caused by thermal cycling under continuous load. We pre-empt this by torquing every termination to the manufacturer's exact specification with a calibrated torque wrench at install, and we re-torque all customer panels at the 12-month mark on a complimentary inspection visit. That visit alone catches the majority of issues before they ever become a problem.

What Voids the Warranty

We try to be reasonable. The only things that fully void coverage are scenarios where we no longer have control over what happened to our work.

Modification by a third party

Another electrician changes our wiring, swaps the breaker, or relocates the charger. Once someone else has hands on the install we can't certify the prior work is still as we left it.

Charger swap without re-inspection

Replacing the EVSE with a different make or amperage rating without our re-commissioning visit. We'll happily re-commission for a flat fee and continue the warranty.

Physical damage to the charger or conduit

Vehicle impact, garage-door pinch, vandalism, pet damage, or storage-related crushing. These are insurance claims, not warranty events.

Damage from un-protected power events

A direct lightning strike or sustained over-voltage from the NV Energy service can destroy the EVSE relay and damage adjacent wiring. We strongly recommend a whole-home surge protector ($295 add-on) — without one, surge-caused failures are not covered.

Removal of City of Henderson inspection tag

The inspection sticker is your proof the work was permitted and approved. Removing it impedes our ability to verify the install date.

Acts of God

Earthquake, flood, fire from a non-related source. Your homeowner's insurance covers these. We don't double-insure.

Licensing, Insurance, and Why It Matters for Your Warranty

A warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it. The State of Nevada requires every contractor performing electrical work over $1,000 to be licensed by the Nevada State Contractors Board (NSCB) per NRS 624. Our license is verified and active:

Nevada Contractor License

NV License #0087341 (verify at NSCB.NV.gov)

License holder

Mike Reynolds, Master Electrician

License classification

C-2 Electrical (residential & commercial)

Liability insurance

$2,000,000 general liability + $1M workers' comp

Bond on file with NSCB

Per Nevada Revised Statutes 624.270

Local address

1023 Nevada Way, Suite 4, Henderson, NV 89012

Our service approach is straightforward: every install is performed by a licensed electrician, permitted through the City of Henderson DSC, inspected by a city inspector, torqued with calibrated tools, and revisited at 12 months for a complimentary check. We don't quote review counts or fabricated "customer satisfaction" metrics — we'd rather you call us, talk to Mike directly, and decide for yourself. Warranty FAQs

Is the warranty transferable if I sell my home?

The free 5-year workmanship warranty is non-transferable, but we offer a paid extended service plan to new homeowners for $149. The City of Henderson permit record stays with the property and is fully transferable — useful for the buyer's due diligence.

Do I need to register my warranty?

No registration needed for our workmanship warranty — your install record is on file with the City of Henderson DSC and with us. For the manufacturer product warranty, follow the QR code on the charger unit to register directly with Tesla, ChargePoint, or Wallbox.

What if the EVSE manufacturer goes out of business?

Manufacturer product warranties are tied to the manufacturer's continued existence. Our 5-year workmanship warranty is separate and unaffected — we'll still service the install. We always recommend brands with strong financial standing (Tesla, ChargePoint, Wallbox, Enphase) over no-name imports.

How do I prove the workmanship warranty is valid?

Keep your final invoice and the City of Henderson permit final card. We also email you a PDF warranty certificate within 48 hours of the final inspection. If you lose all three, we can re-issue from our records using your property address.

Does the warranty cover the EV itself or the charging cable?

No. The EV is covered by the vehicle manufacturer's warranty. The charging cable is part of the EVSE and covered by the EVSE manufacturer's product warranty (typically 3 years). Our warranty covers everything between the utility meter and the EVSE input terminals.
